Same-sex marriage isn’t the only item on some progressive agendas. Taking marriage equality to a whole new level are the creators of Gay Bride of Frankenstein, who indulge the monster with a partner Fred Phelps wouldn’t be so happy about. The show ran at 2009’s New York Musical Theater Festival and has since returned in concert form, having garnered a cult following along the way. The loose plot concerns a group of high school friends as they deal with their raging hormones on the night of the Halloween “Monster Ball.” The Monster Makers, a four-piece band, back the antics with numbers like “Beelzeboogie” and “My Abomination.”
