Joey Arias wasn’t but a twinkle in his mama’s eye the night that Billie Holiday debuted at Town Hall in 1948. But tonight, the Holiday-esque downtown drag legend follows in Lady Day’s footsteps for a Town Hall debut of his own. This one-night-only event follows Arias’s mind-blowing jazz show at Abrons Arts Center last fall, where Arias, with the help of musical director Ben Allison, winningly belted out torch song standards and ’60s girl group ditties from his tightly corseted body. Don’t miss this cabaret curiosity.
