By now, Rise Against are a Chi-town institution, having worked the mall and emo sides of punk successfully in their last albums and with their move to Major Label Land. Even if you think they’re not quite hardcore enough, you have to at least admire the bleeding-heart sentiments that they proudly wear on their sleeves and even their vegan-themed line of shoes (no kidding). The apocalyptic gloom on their new album isn’t exactly out of place nowadays. It’s fitting that their musical ancestors, Bad Religion, are on tour with them. With Four Year Strong.
