As a die-hard Italian America, I’m all too familiar with style choices like orthopedic shoes with tinsel for laces and furniture covered in plastic.
But Giuseppe Del Piano has better ideas.
The popular New York presence — who owns the classy eatery Novita — has branched out to hawking upscale but affordable fashion in addition to pasta and meatballs.
He’s just opened Casa di Moda, “a hip Italian boutique without the high italian price,” at 69 Eighth Avenue, between 13th and 14th streets.
The boutique sells Italian shoes (designed by Giuseppe himself), tunics, wallets, and other snazzy-looking items.
And no plastic!
P.S.: Aren’t these photos kind of sexy? I never thought merchandise could be so erotic. Tunics and wallets could easily become my new porn!
