If you love Saturday Night Fever, watch Glee, or dance weirdly when you’re home alone, chances are you already have your costume ready for the Dance Parade. Anyone can join the more than 7,000 dancers and 73 different kinds of dance on display at this annual event—which means that even if you have no rhythm whatsoever, you’ll blend in. Of course, you can also just observe the flamenco, African, and modern dancers, as well as a slew of other performers, but if the NYDP catches you, you’ll get fined for not dancing—that’s the “New York Dance Police,” in case you were wondering.
