‘Euro Dance Fridays Presents Speedy J’

by

Speedy J’s career has encompassed a kaleidoscopic array of styles and earned the Rotterdam producer a solid place in the annals of techno. His earliest tracks were perfect products of their time: “Ginger” made Warp’s seminal Artificial Intelligence compilation and the oddly catchy “Pullover” found a home on Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8. In 1997, he released the explosive electro decay that was the magnificent if nearly unlistenable Public Energy #1–he followed it up with a series of nuanced big-name collaborations and years of his own reliable, straightforward techno. With resident Ed Pulido.
