According to the latest New York Post “trend” piece, which manages to be both chauvinistic and fetishy with a dash of service thrown in for good measure, “girls’ night out is now more gunslinging than cocktail-sipping”! Here’s what the ladies are saying about their enjoyable new pastime:
“It felt pretty natural and organic.”
“It’s similar to yoga in a lot of ways.”
“I’ve been going through a lot of changes recently.”
“I really liked archery when I was a Girl Scout.”
“It won’t be all sketchy and weird.”
“This was not my first time at the rodeo.”
“It felt great.”
“It was sort of a ‘Take Back the Night’ thing for me.”
“I’ve been wanting to do this since I was in my 20s.”
“I felt really powerful and strong.”
“You’re like, ‘Oh, my God, I am in total control here.'”
“I got so hyped, I just started dancing. I didn’t care who was watching!”
That’s how the saying goes, right? Dance like no one is watching, shoot a gun like you’re doing yoga?
Full disclosure: This blogger took riflery at camp. She would still rather have a cocktail than shoot a gun, any day…but that’s her.
