Clinton Hill is not quite at the gastro-charged level its more gentrified neighbor, Fort Greene, has attained just yet. But it’s getting there. The latest addition to the resto roster is Cochinita (922 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, 917-749-7706), opening in June.
Signage went up at the taqueria this week. The brief menu features tacos (including, of course, cochinita pibil: pork braised in oranges, spices, and banana leaves); a few sides, such as nopalitos (cactus salad); and drinks like horchata. With a gourmet grocery (Brooklyn Victory Garden) next door and a cocktail bar (Hanson Dry) within blocks, this stretch of Fulton is shaping up to be something of a destination strip for the neighborhood’s eaters and drinkers.
