Manhattan’s Cleanest Restaurant (!) Is Coming to MacDougal Street

by

MacDougal Street’s a fickle lover, taking on new restaurants and spitting them out shortly thereafter. Though some recent newcomers, like Thelewala and Saigon Shack, have been cause for celebration, now comes a restaurant promising greater things. Behold what’s soon to be Manhattan’s cleanest restaurant. Or so the sign says.

Moving into 104 MacDougal Street, formerly the site of Yatagan Kebab House, will be Turkish Delish, offering a roster of foods similar to its predecessor’s. However, the sign also promises manti, which are small dumplings, often served with yogurt sauce, and piyaz, a bean and hard-boiled-egg salad. Both are generally quite tasty, so that will be something to look forward to. As well, of course, as witnessing the borough’s cleanest restaurant — a somewhat remarkable feat for a MacDougal Street abode.
