The Park Slope Food Co-op is the gift that keeps on giving, at least to bloggers trying to fill daily post quotas. The latest parcel comes from Racked, which has thoughtfully rounded up some of the more memorable “moments” in the co-op’s history.
And what a history it is. Between the dog-stealing hookers, the Adrian Grenier sightings, the grudging acceptance of credit cards, and the affluent families who send the help to do their volunteer shifts, it’s enough to bring unmitigated joy to the average Fairway shopper. The latest incident involves a rumored fistfight between two co-op cashiers. Whether it’s true is open to debate; what isn’t is our gratitude to the co-op for providing such dependable entertainment.
