When we first wrote about the Morris Grilled Cheese Truck in April, its owner, Michael Jacober, predicted he’d be open for business by late May. Although that didn’t come to pass, he wasn’t too far off in his prediction.
According to the truck’s Facebook page, it will make its debut this week, while an ad posted on Good Food Jobs puts the date at June 9.
When the truck does put the key in the ignition, it will face some competition from the Gorilla Cheese truck, which has been peddling its wares for several weeks now. But judging from the displeasure some Midtown Lunchers have expressed over its prices, Morris should be able to find a receptive market for its curdy creations.
