Let’s hand it to Spirit Airlines, the budget travel company, for making a real stretch to capitalize on current events. Instead of leaving cheating website Ashley Madison all of the post-Anthony Weiner glory, Spirit connected a New York congressman to purchasing air travel with only one underwhelming pun: “The Weiner Sale: With Fares Too HARD to Resist.” There’s a photo of a hot dog, presumably because they couldn’t legally license a picture of the congressman without being harassed by his people.
