If you’re a Yankees fan, a Mets fan, or just love baseball, the Brooklyn Cyclones and Staten Island Yankees give us a personal and affordable venue to follow the organizations. The Cyclones, of course, are owned by the Mets, and play at the best-located stadium in the country, MCU Park, on the water at Coney Island. They made the semifinals last season and won the 2010 Overall Promotion of the Year with such fun events as the Dugout Dance Battle. Meanwhile, over on Staten Island, where tonight’s game will be held, the Baby Bombers have won five New York Penn League titles (last one in 2009). They may also have the best mascot in the league: Scooter the “Holy Cow,” named in honor of Yankee shortstop and radio broadcaster Phil Rizzuto. Trust us, there are no bad seats in either park for this three-game match-up, which moves to Brooklyn on Saturday and Sunday. Play ball!
