A bar and restaurant proposed on Washington Avenue in Prospect Heights appears to have gotten the green light after facing some opposition earlier this year.
Construction has started at 686A Washington Avenue, a former hair salon. According to Brownstoner, Community Board 8 rejected the application for a liquor license at the location back in April. Last week, Kinky Krowns had already moved out of the space and the Bearded Lady was spotted moving in. A liquor license is still pending approval.
Across the street, at 689 Washington Avenue, signage proclaiming Skazzy Café went back up after being taken down temporarily. The restaurant announced itself back in May, but the papered-over space has seen little action since the awning originally went up.
