It happened at the Laurie Beechman Theatre last week.
It was You Like Me, a show in which various performers acted out notorious trophy-clutching speeches made by golden folks like Meryl Streep (wickedly witty), Patti LuPone (mildly cantankerous), and Elaine Stritch (out of her mind).
La Daily Musto’s video guy, Geoffray Barbier, was there with his crew to capture the evenng in a lively clip that features my own award-caliber appearance as Julie Andrews.
Click on it and see why my speech was oh-so-loverly different from everyone else’s.
And by the way, I want to thank Julie, Geoffray, organizers Michael Schulman and Rachel Shukert, God, and William Morris.
In that order.
