For many of us, there came a time where our parents looked us straight in the eyes and sternly said, “It’s time to stop playing games, boy.” Accordingly, we dropped the Xbox controller, stashed away the Saved by the Bell DVDs, and resigned ourselves to the rigmarole of the workday. This weekend, that’s all about to end: Conference calls and cubicles are out; contortion and kick-flips are in. Be a part of the 2011 Come Out and Play Festival and join 200 other fun-deprived adults for a gigantic game of Shadowplay–a mega urban competition where flashlight tag meets Parkour, and where participants dive, dash, and contort themselves in order to eclipse objects thrown onto New York City walls. The short two- to five-minute games allow you to hone your skills and climb the leader board while waiting for the team competition to start later in the night.
