It’s New Catch Holland Herring time again! Join the team from Russ & Daughters for a tasting of buttery matjes (young) herring, as well as marinated, pickled, smoked, and salted incarnations of the fish. Guest chef April Bloomfield will prepare some fishy dishes for the occasion, to be paired with vodka and aquavit, all for $75.
GluttNY Presents Epicurean Intifada

Why can’t we all just get along, you ask? Well, we can. At this four-course pairing of Lebanese foods and Israeli wines. Oh, and there will also be belly dancers and hookahs, just to reinforce the festive mood. It’s $80 with wine pairings and $60 without.
Do the Mash! Scotch and Cheese

Wine and cheese in fine, but if your curds crave something a little stiffer, this $65 class might be for you. Scotch can be smoky or touched with sweet, fruity or more on the earthy side. Get a primer on the range and taste of cheeses that stand up well to the spirit.
