Today, Crain’s reconfirms what we’ve all known but still can’t quite accept: Sandra Lee is one of the most powerful women in New York. The 39th most powerful, specifically.
In its roundup of the 50 women who “wield a wealth of raw power,” Lee is cited for her media dominance (10 million Food Network viewers, 300,000 subscribers to her Semi-Homemade magazine, 4 million books sold) and that whole first-lady thing. Since we can only respond to such a distinction by shrugging our shoulders in resignation, we’ll let Iggy Pop say a thing or two on the matter.
