The Fatty Crew may have gained a Battery Park kiosk, but it has lost a pitmaster.
Diner’s Journal reports that Robbie Richter has parted ways with Fatty ‘Cue, the restaurant he helped Zak Pelaccio open in March 2010. Richter, who had formerly been the pitmaster at Hill Country, hasn’t let on what he’ll be doing next, but thanks in part to the success of places like Hill Country and Fatty ‘Cue, New York now has no shortage of barbecue restaurants where Richter could find gainful employment.
