A month after we learned of their plans to bring Chicago-style wieners on wheels to New York, Liz and Zeph Courtney have written in to inform us that their Snap Food Truck will be making a number of appearances throughout the city this month.
This Saturday, you can find the Courtney’s dogs — and burgers, Belgian fries, and avocado fries — at the Hester Street Fair, where they’ll be stationed from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The following Saturday, July 16, they’ll show up on Governors Island as part of the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance’s City of Water Day. And on July 23 (another Saturday), Snap will make its way to Gowanus to take part in a concert/party at Littlefield.
The Courtneys also plan to use the month of July to launch their Kickstarter campaign, the proceeds of which will be used to help make their truck more environmentally friendly. Which is definitely the best hot-dog-related news we’ve heard all day.
