Brooklyn’s Summer Concert Schedule Just Got A Whole Lot Joan Jett-ier

Joan Jett, Cheap Trick, the Monkees, Queen Latifah, Frankie Beverly and Maze, and Shaggy have all been announced as headliners for the 2011 series of Brooklyn Concerts, which are split evenly between the Martin Luther King Concert Series (held at Wingate Field) and the Seaside Summer Concert Series (held on Coney Island, right by the Cyclones’ ballpark). The MLK shows are on Mondays and the Seaside gigs happen on Thursdays, so don’t worry about having to take a long subway ride if you want to catch both the 75%-capacity Monkees and Peabo Bryson. (He’s on the bill as part of a “Men of Soul” night that also stars Jeffrey Osborne and Freddie Jackson.) Full roster, as well as details on where and when the shows will take place, after the jump.
