Neil deGrasse Tyson: Making Physics Fun

New obsession: Neil deGrasse Tyson. Tyson is the director of the Hayden Planetarium, hosts the StarTalk Radio Show, and came up with the term Manhattanhenge. He’s the type of guy you long to have as a science professor, because, even if you’re pretty sure you won’t do well in the class, you’ll at least be entertained and therefore might actually learn something. On Tyson’s Twitter feed he puts scientific spins on pop culture. The day of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game he tweeted: “You can play baseball on the airless Moon, but only if you find a way not to suffocate & if you don’t care about curve balls.” Watch him talk with Jimmy Fallon above. Ignore Bob Saget. [Gothamist]
