If you can’t wait until September to join the inevitably ridiculous lines outside of Parm, then consider a trip to Yankee Stadium this weekend.
Per the New York Post, Torrisi’s Rich Torrisi and Mario Carbone will debut an outpost of their sandwich shop at Yankee Stadium on Friday. They’ll serve their turkey sandwich and a new meatball parm to the stadium’s 50,000 occupants, who will undoubtedly give them an excellent practice run before they open their Mulberry Street shop in September.
Carbone and Torrisi will also be curating a section of the San Gennaro festival next month and apparently are interested in further expansion, so a throng of hungry baseball fans may prove to be the calm before the storm.
