Some are being shut down, others are being lorded over as if on a death watch.
And to many insiders, it’s coming off like just another anti-fun tactic to destroy what’s great about NYC nightlife.
The line of attack seems random at times, since clubs that leave their doors open are often targeted more than places that keep them closed but are louder because of their size and volume.
And the whole thing makes one want to yelp.
Anyway, this Tuesday, July 26, from 1 to 3 in the afternoon, there will be a meeting, attended by club reps, the 9th Precinct, and CB3. It’s at Rockwood Music Hall, 196 Allen Street.
A commenter below says it’s probably invitation-only.
But I’m sure the club folk will go and make some noise.
