Tomorrow: Our 10 Best Dishes for the Dog Days of Summer in NYC

This cold salad of boiled octopus from Murray Hill’s Momokawa should be just the ticket.

Do you remember what you were eating when the mercury hit 104 last Friday? I bet it wasn’t a big cone of hot french fries drenched in mayo, or a half-pound burger mantled with cheese and bacon.

Stimulated by the sweltering temps, Fork in the Road decided to explore what makes a great hot-weather dish. It’s a cinch that any cold seafood salad fills the bill, but what about a chowder or a pho?

So please tune in tomorrow morning bright and early to see what we come up with. The results might surprise you.
