The Rage Against the Machine guitarist is taking pains to characterize his new disc under the Nighwatchman handle as more of a rock album than its acoustically inclined predecessors. (Morello promised “blazing Randy Rhoads-style solos” when I talked to him about it last year.) Yet here he is promoting World Wide Rebel Songs with a release-week gig at Manhattan’s genteel City Winery. Confusing!
