Japandroids

by

There’s something endearingly boyish about Post-Nothing, the debut LP from guitar-and-drums duo Japandroids, a band with an un-self-conscious willingness to be their goofy selves and an unimpeachable belief that their feelings, whether of attraction (“Wet Hair”) or disappointment (“I Quit Girls”), are worth expressing. If this doesn’t sound ideal for a night of rock ‘n’ roll, Brian King’s distorted guitar surely will. With Bass Drum of Death.
