This “monumental feminist epic” is the most recent of over 40 books of poetry by Anne Waldman, the New York School poet who has been a countercultural presence in Greenwich Village since the Beat Generation. The book consists of a single 1,000-page-long poem that handles themes of political activism, friendship, motherhood, and Buddhist principles. The performance will include musical accompaniment by cellist Ha-Yang Kim and soundscapes by Waldman’s son Ambrose Bye.
