Donald Smith’s yearly three-night celebration of all things cabaret helps to remind the world (or maybe just the immediate neighborhood) that this entertainment genre still counts. During the convention, established cabaret performers trade off with newcomers, each given the chance to sing a warbling two songs each. Over the three nights, the casts will include Barbara Carroll, Andrea Marcovicci, Christine Ebersole, Steve Ross, Joyce Breach, Marilyn Maye, Ronny White, KT Sullivan, Nancy Anderson and Paula West, several of whom will also be receiving formal recognition for their glorious pasts or promising futures.
