For over a decade, Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra has been making a name for itself, though a long and protean one, by churning out musical minimalism that fits, though awkwardly, into the post-rock pseudo-genre. As they haven’t released an album since 2010’s heavy-handed Kollaps Tradixionales, it’s hard to know what to expect on Thursday beyond their trademark orchestral swells and soft landings. Brace yourself for anything from Led Zepp inspired shredding to Efrim Menuck’s spider-web-thin voice spouting out sociopolitical lyrics over an Eastern European stomp.
