Trader Joe’s, everyone’s favorite one-stop shop for cheap(er) groceries and sundries, is opening a location on Staten Island on Friday, making the new 15,000 foot space the sixth location in New York City for the retail chain, and the first in that borough.
Best get in line early to stock up on snacks like the addictive chili-lime nuts, which are hands-down our favorite product that the company makes. According to the New York Daily News, the opening-day festivities kick off at 8 a.m. at 2385 Richmond Avenue, and will feature a steel-drum band playing until 10 a.m. and balloon-making through 3 p.m. Sounds like a good excuse to leave work early.
