Traci Nobles, the cheerleading coach from Georgia who is one of Anthony Weiner’s former sexting partners, is publishing a book. Of course. It’s called I Freinded You [sic], and claims to contain real text message exchanges between Nobles and Weiner. In some of those text messages, Weiner complains about his wife Huma Abedin’s parents and unfavorably compares her sexually to Nobles. Oh, and brags about masturbating in the House of Representatives’ bathroom. As if the embarrassment for Abedin, who’s due to give birth next year, could get any worse.
In a sidebar on the Daily Mail article, Nobles explains herself:
For me personally, it is important to address how I was portrayed, as well as how my involvement has affected various aspects of my life, as well as those who are close to me. The memoir is not specifically about Weiner or his family, it is me explaining my involvement, what has transpired since it all began, and the truth that has yet to be told. It is not about being bitter, it is however to emphasise that only one side of the story has been told, only partially, and in a very controlled way for that matter.
The picture portrayed was painted with a broad brush, a broad one-sided brush. It was different, and much more complex than what ‘appeared’ to be going on and I needed to get my truth out, in my own way.
That’s some pretty intense months-late damage control for someone everybody had forgotten about.
I Freinded You is being released on the 15th. Its Facebook page has 14 fans.
