I say “almost” only because the funsy Christopher Street bar had jumped all the hurdles in nabbing a new space on 8th Street when the landlord abruptly changed her wacky mind.
But things are looking good for a whole other space at 697 Tenth Avenue, between 47th and 48th streets.
They just nabbed the liquor approval from the community board.
Then comes another crucial meeting on November 2, when the gussied-up posse will further convince the bigwigs of their right to a hangout.
And then comes the big move — manicured fingers crossed — which makes perfect sense.
As their Facebook page states, “HK needs a quirky neighborhood bar with cheap drinks!”
Besides, with Pieces there, that neighborhood can finally declare itself Gaytown and officially become a separate city.
