Remember the good old days, when buying music required getting off your ass and going someplace rather than pushing a button on a cell phone? Relive the glory years of actual interaction with other music fans this weekend at the WFMU Record Fair. This fair brings 10,000 square feet of crates containing vinyl and CDs to more than 4,000 vinyl lovers, along with live bands and music-related film screenings. On Saturday, fetishists shouldn’t miss archivist Russell Scholl, who curates a screening of near-pornographic historical footage of the vinyl recording process and pressing plants. Sexy!
