Screaming Females

Despite the continuous hassle posed by noise violations, high turnover, and shouting frat boys, the indefatigable New Brunswick DIY scene remains one of the most consistent in the Northeast. Tonight, one of the city’s best punk products Screaming Females makes the hour-long drive up to New York, bringing their energetic live show (a highlight at both last year’s Siren Fest and this year’s 4Knots) to the Bowery Ballroom. Come for the show, but make sure you grab previously hard-to-find copies of Baby Teeth and What If Someone Is Watching Their T.V.? the band’s self-released and recently reissued freshman and sophomore records, on your way out.
