First Zoe Kazan brought her new play We Live Here to Manhattan Theatre Club. Now, adding to the current season of adorable young actors dabbling in playwriting (sigh), Jesse Eisenberg stars in his very own play Asuncion at the Cherry Lane Theatre. The story concerns two roommates, a blogger (Eisenberg) who condemns American imperialism and a student getting his Ph.D. in black studies, who have their seemingly liberal, open-minded viewpoints turned upside down when a young Filipino woman moves in with them. Remy Auberjonois, Justin Bartha, and Camille Mana are also in the cast. Kip Fagan directs the Rattlestick Playwrights production.
Mondays-Sundays. Starts: Oct. 12. Continues through Dec. 18, 2011
