Happy Hour at Burp Castle

by

On a street lined with loud pubs, at least one tucked-away bar promises quiet respite.

That place is Burp Castle. Though the name suggests boozy, bro-laden belchfests, the locale — which boasts an impressive beer menu — has a calm, low-key vibe.

Thankfully, the bartenders try to keep it that way: If you get too loud, they’ll shush you immediately.

This makes it easy to enjoy a brew or two, many of which come from Belgium. Non-Flemish picks abound, such as Hitachino Ginger Ale and Radeberger Pilsner.

The list rotates, but you can usually count on at least one lambic.

Monday through Friday, tap selections cost $1 less from 5 to 8 p.m.
