BLOODY MESS

by

Continuing its fall Shakespeare series, the Public Theater presents the Bard’s early tragedy Titus Andronicus. Jay O. Sanders stars as Titus, Rome’s fearless general and head of a noble Roman family. When his armies defeat the Goths, the imprisoned queen unleashes terror in his land. Of course, Titus “cooks up” some revenge of his own. As this is known to be Shakespeare’s bloodiest work, prepare for lots of gore (and to avoid all pie shops after the show). Michael Sexton directs.

Mondays-Sundays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Nov. 29. Continues through Dec. 18, 2011
