Who doesn’t love a rags-to-riches story, especially when there’s singing involved? In these desperate times, when everyone seems to be occupying everything in the name of justice, we think Annie, the John HustonÐdirected 1982 musical, is the perfect example of how to remain hopeful in a bad economy. Tonight, at the Annie Sing-Along, grab a beer (or two or three) from the bar at 92YTribeca and join burlesque babe Raven Snook in singing songs such as “Tomorrow” and “Hard Knock Life,” booing Miss Hannigan, and cheering on the little homeless girl as she wanders the streets of New York during the Great Depression with her raggedy dog, Sandy, then ends up living the life of a 1-percenter. Cue the song “Easy Street”!
