It’s a precise alchemy, but as veterans of Soulive, the Rustic Overtones, and Robert Randolph and the Family Band, they know the exact ratios of shuffle, horn hit, and soul to lay it down right. The guys originally met at a Berklee summer program and had instant chemistry, the band camp wet dream of every Jaco Pastorius and Maceo Parker worshipper.
