Murray Hill’s annual holiday show is so magical that at least one couple attending it on their first date got married a few years later. Certainly, the sleazy Borscht Belt entertainer is fully responsible. This year, A Murray Little Christmas brings the magic to Brooklyn for two Pee-wee’s Playhouse–style variety shows featuring his usual consorts: burlesque queen Dirty Martini, Our Hit Parade’s Bridget Everett, Moisty the Snowman, and Sebastian the Elf. The loose plot follows Murray and friends as they find out on the night before Christmas that their Manhattan theater is being demolished and replaced by a five-story Duane Reade.
