Relax. It was a peck on the cheek for Theater Talk co-host Susan Haskins upon filming the long-running weekly TV show.
And the whole interview was a dream, apparently.
The Aussie actor/singer talks about the eye-popping success of his show Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, for which there’s such a craving that even the star himself was offered scalpers’ tix!
“The scalpers are all over Times Square,” says Hugh on Theater Talk.
“It’s a tough one. … I mean some guy offered me scalping tickets to my show.
“As I was walking down the street to the theater, this guy goes, ‘Hey, you want a ticket to Hugh Jackman?’ and I said, ‘I am Hugh Jackman.'”
“You should have seen the look on the guy’s face.
“I said, ‘You may want to leave here. Hanging out in front of Memphis is not the most surreptitious way to sell tickets.'”
Great story — but Hugh should have bought the tickets anyway. It’s a great show!
P.S.: The episode is on tomorrow night at 1:30 a.m. on Channel 13 and repeats on CUNY TV.
