More New Year’s Eve Eats

If your New Year’s Eve plans call for a classy meal and calm glass of champagne more than falling asleep with vomit caked in your hair, consider checking out these swanky scenes.

Just remember to call ahead for reservations, and also be sure to look at Lauren Bloomberg’s useful NYE guides to international celebrations and other fancy fetes.

At the Monkey Bar (60 East 54th Street), you can ring in 2012 with a four-course tasting menu, which includes oysters and venison. Two seatings — one $135 window from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and another, $165 version from 8 until 10 p.m. — are available. Call 212-288-1010 for more info.

Tiny’s & the Bar Upstairs also features a four-course menu, which boasts beef tartare and truffled gnocci. This Tribeca eatery (135 West Broadway) also offers two reservation times — $75 at 7 p.m. and $95 at 9:30 p.m. To find out more, call 212-374-1135.

After 9 p.m., Riverpark plans on serving a $95 three-course meal, including cauliflower flan and lobster. Before that, diners can pick from à la carte menu offered by the restaurant (450 East 29th Street, 212-729-9790).
