Don’t be fooled by the name of this Upper West Side establishment.
Sure, Broadway Dive Bar (2662 Broadway, 212-865-2662) has the intimate feel of a neighborhood hole-in-the-wall, but the joint boasts a Scotch and craft-beer list that could rival the finest pubs.
Some other amenities include genuinely friendly bartenders, as well as a drunk guy who acts like he’s a famous artist and draws patrons and employees.
(He was kind enough to make a sketch of this reporter, which wound up looking like an upright, curly-headed cow with Lara Croft-like cleavage.)
Drink discounts start at noon(!) and run until 7 p.m. Some of those specials? Broadway serves up $3 Buds, $5 wines, and $5 well drinks.
With these prices, the bar’s neon sign surely won’t be the only thing buzzing by the end of a night at Broadway.
