Put those reading glasses on. Molly Smith Metzler’s Close Up Space concerns a book editor on a major deadline with a frazzled assistant, a useless intern, and a famous author threatening to leave him. He thinks nothing could get worse until his daughter shows up scolding him in Russian. David Hyde Pierce stars as the stressed-out editor and Rosie Perez as the demanding scribe in this Manhattan Theatre Club production.
