Ray Kelly Won’t Comment On Son, Won’t Resign; Bonanno Crime-Family Members Arrested; Twitter Protested


More on the Kelly family’s various travails this morning. First, NY1 reports that Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Friday he does not have any plans to resign over his involvement in the anti-Muslim film The Third Jihad. “I don’t think there was any ill intent here, but it should not have been shown,” Kelly said. Kelly would not answer any questions on the other scandal in his family: the alleged sexual assault perpetrated by his son Greg Kelly. [NY1]

The New York Post has published new details this morning about Fox 5 anchor Greg Kelly’s accuser. She is an “aspiring model and actress” whose brother is a crime scene investigator at the NYPD, according to the paper. [NYP]

Bonanno crime-family members, including the father of a Mob Wives star were nabbed by federal agents from the FBI and DEA Friday. One of the men was charged with extortion for “allegedly participating in a heated sit-down to discuss a financial settlement over a secret pizza sauce recipe that a Bonanno-associated Staten Island pizza joint allegedly stole from Brooklyn’s L&B Spumoni Gardens, which has ties to the Colombo crime family.” [NYP]
