Whenever I see a TV camera approaching, my face lights up like a Halloween pumpkin and all the hanging skin inflates like a Thanksgiving Day float based on a long-running animated character.
I basically become a holiday parade float of a giant, gay, papier-mâché suckerfish.
These images were taken while I shot Theater Talk, discussing spring comings on Broadway along with writers Jesse Green and Patrick Pacheco and hosts Susan Haskins and Michael Riedel.
Obviously, I got VERY EXCITED while were talking!
And no wonder.
You’ll learn what we think of:
*The upcoming Death of a Salesman starring Dustin Hoffman and a teen idol
*The stage-musical versions of so-so movies like Once, Newsies, and Leap of Faith
*The revivals of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar
*And the most important theatrical offering since Burton’s Hamlet … the William Shatner one-man show!
Tune in on PBS at 1 a.m. tomorrow night.
Or just mute it and look at my weird head.
