Some ladies want chocolate and roses for Valentine’s Day; others want cheese. Murray’s Cheese Shop is now selling Swiss-style cooking utensils from a Dutch brand called Boska that you can use for a cheesy, romantic dinner for two.
There’s the retro choice — a ceramic, gas-powered fondue pot. Then there’s the riskier option: a cheese curler specifically for serving an intensely sharp, semi-firm Swiss cheese called Tête de Moine that shaves off the top of the cheese wheel little by little.
If cheese curling sounds too ambitious, Murray’s offers a third device: a raclette machine that melts a slab of raclette or any semi-firm cheese until it can be spread on crackers or bread.
