Maruko Sushi Opening Soon on 23rd Street

After being hidden behind plywood for months, signage is up at Maruko Sushi, a new Japanese spot set to open at 170 West 23rd Street. It looks like the opening is still a ways off, but the restaurant’s Facebook page suggests that it will be inexpensive and somewhat fusion-y. Which sorta sounds like Monster Sushi, located just a few steps away, at 158 West 23rd Street. But, hey, Chelsea residents do love their spider rolls.
