‘The Bunker: Sandwell District Showcase’

Feed Forward, last year’s album from techno collective Sandwell District, took shades of gray and measures of distance as the raw material for tracks that might be the relics of some post-apocalyptic ritual. The British wing, Regis and Female, are AWOL, but co-leader Function might consider this a homecoming, given his early days in New York techno. Fellow former local Silent Servant once ran Cytrax, home to Kit Clayton and Safety Scissors. Morphosis explores dark, deep territory when he isn’t releasing a broad swath of house and techno on Morphine. With Rrose, Juju & Jordash, Spinoza and Eric Cloutier.
